An artist and art teacher, Louisa Judith Mulvaney began the brand Louisa Judith from her home in South London. Having studied fine art at the Paris American Academy, and printing at Heatherley School of Fine Art, Louisa developed a love of screen printing and has used this technique to create fun loving designs to bring joy to your home.

Her Illustrative maps are all drawn and hand screen printed in London using warm, optimistic colours to describe the fondness so many people feel for the local area they live in. These can be made to commission, Louisa weaving together an array of places the client chooses.

The Louisa Judith fabric collection has been designed inspired by a series of paper cuts Louisa discovered in an old apothecary chest. This chest had been handed down the daughters of her family for over two hundred years, made up of lots of little drawers that had held treasures collected over the years. Peering into the chest she discovered a secret drawer with an old leather journal inside, and inside of that an envelope. When opened, out fell a series of tiny animals exquisitely cut out of fine paper. Running dogs, long-legged giraffes - each animal had been made by her great, great, great Grandmother Isabella Button in early 1800s.
